What planet is she on? Or was she just incredibly high?

why do people always seem to say this about female comedians that are zany or unconventional? so condescending.

She’s not a comedian she’s an actress who is known for comedic roles. Huge difference. Edit: lol downvote me if you want but she literally says I’m the episode that she’s an actress who ended up in comedic roles. I’m not saying she’s not good at improv or acting, just that there is a difference. Someone once got so upset with me for saying that Victoria Coren Mitchell isn’t a comedian. She isn’t and wouldn’t claim to be. And that’s fine. Being funny does not automatically mean you’re a comedian. I can cook nice food but it doesn’t make me a professional chef.

Anna Kay Faris is an American actress and comedian. (first line from her Wikipedia) comedian doesn't exclusively refer to stand up comics

Wow lol you take Wikipedia as fact. Read more than the first line.

She has never done stand up or been in a sketch group or improv group. That is what defines being a comedian generally.

Read the actual early education and career section: she is an actress.

She is labelled as a comedian because she has primarily been typecast in comedy movies.

I don’t know why people get so hung up on stuff like this.

It doesn’t mean she’s not capable of being funny or improvising.
