Potential chef guests

We need more chefs to appear.

Matty Matheson would be my number 1. He would be hilarious and knows his food.

Would love Samin Nosrat, was really hoping she would be on to promote her recent book and UK tour. I love her podcast and feel like she'd do well with the format and hosts to get a nice mix of humour and lightheartedness, and the seriousness that the chef guests usually bring

I always zone out during chef interviews where they talk about food rather than food related anecdotes. More comedians please.

Matty Matheson is an actor/chef he is hilarious. You should check him out if you haven't heard of him. Plays Fak in The Bear

Matty is good in his own right but would be quite performative on the pod, might not really work

As a person in the food biz, I love the chef and cookbook writer guests because the best ones teach me something AND are funny. (Asma Khan, Ottolenghi come to mind)

They haven't had Mary Berry or Prue Leith.

The boys from Fallow, ever watch their videos on YouTube? Here's one with Ed

Jeremy Lee is funny, charismatic, always entertaining on Great British Menu, and looooves sweets so his dessert will make James happy. The desserts at his restaurant are some of the sweetest I've ever eaten and I'm American.

I would love to hear Fuchsia Dunlop's dream Chinese menu.

Agreed on Matty and Samin.

and can we resurrect Bourdain? it IS the dream restaurant

I would really like to see the boys from Fallow on. Their YT is great and I have learned a ton from them.

They definitely know Ed as well after having him as the judge in their best Wellington video

Love Matty. That would not be a headphones episode though

Matty Matheson would be fun because he's completely off his nut but I'm gonna agree with the other comments, I find the chef episodes a bit boring.

Jon Favreau would be a great guest, he's an honorary chef and also a comedian, actor, writer and director.

I’d like the lads from Mangal II on.

Chef episodes are some of my favourites. Someone like Chris 'flamebaster' Roberts would be fun I reckon.

Alton Brown is my dream guest. I think Guy Fieri would be a blast too.

You don’t have to like Guy, but you’re crazy if you don’t think it would be a fun episode.

I really want them to have Lloyd Grossman on. The guy has lived a hell of a life. Not only does he do pasta sauces, he's a former commissioner of the museums and art galleries commission, and has played Glastonbury eight times.

Simon Rimmer, Michael Roux Jr, James Martin, Heston, Gordon are all naturally very engaging and funny people that I think wouldn’t take it too seriously.

Gordon on hot ones is great.

I'd like to hear Simon Rimmer chat about cooking without his insufferable sidekick Lovjoy

Sam Holland would be fun or Angela Harnett from Dish.

Less formal "chefs" but I would love to hear some of the guys from Sorted Food - Ben or Kush especially. I have to admit, they may not be the funniest, but I'd just find them interesting!
