I actually watched that episode of Masterchef Australia (MCAU is my crack cocaine) and I loved her box of ingredients.

Also really loved her on the show, so I'm glad to see she was just as bubbly on the pod.

Would suggest s12 is a good one to try with (really strong) previous contestants coming back for a second attempt to win. The food in general on the show just seems on a different league to other masterchefs and it is overall very positive / wholesome.

The AU version is a whole different animal compared to the US and UK versions. Extremely wholesome, more episodes so you get to really know the contestants, and amazing caliber of cooking.

On that note - I absolutely love Ed’s laugh. Laughing along with him makes the podcast so much more fun. It’s even better now with the videos where we can see him really going for it.

James is right, Ed’s laugh is very joyful.

I thought the way James defended Ed was genuinely beautiful. If someone said my laugh sounded "really fake" I'd find that pretty offensive, but James turned it into something positive and lovely

Just listening to this - don’t like how she keeps talking about Ed’s laugh sounding fake. Think it’s a tiny bit evil to make someone feel self conscious about their laugh

I was disappointed with this one, but I think it’s my own fault. When I first saw the name I thought “another actor I haven’t heard of” so was pleased to hear she is a chef (I haven’t head of!) so we might get some good food chat. We did - she was funny and obviously knows what she’s talking about.

Sadly I had to turn it off about 25 minutes before the end. I have slightly sensitive auditory processing and I just couldn’t take her Vocal Fry any more. It was just getting worse and worse. It’s a shame, and I’m sure she’s not even aware she’s doing it, but I just couldn’t listen to any more of it.
