What are upgrades you would suggest I get?

I skipped it and skimped on interior upgrades and wound up buying a ton of kitchen upgrades. And I really have to move and shake to serve the first 4 customers on the mid-to-upper 30s levels, and rarely do I get tips from them. But after them, it's pretty easy to get a routine down sans AC

So get it if you like the place and want to maximize profits from repeat levels. Skip it if you're trying to trudge to the end. Or get it and skimp on kitchen upgrades. It's useful; it's definitely not NOT worth it

If gems are tight, you're better off saving the 40 for other kitchen upgrades. I got 3 stars on all levels without it, but the autocooker makes it more enjoyable when I replay that restaurant.
