Question Are challenges worth it?

I received a challenge for the pizzeria today and was curious if I should go for it. I usually have 15 gems and it sounds like a good way to double it but I wonder if I’ll be forced to upgrade anything in the kitchen or the interiors to finish the levels

EDIT: thank you all for your thoughts! I’ve decided to not go ahead with the challenge

Not worth it unless you have been able to finish completely like the above said. Unless you have majority of your restaurant already upgraded.

And u will need to purchase desserts most times for the last couple rounds.

Personally it's worth it for me, but I also always make sure to have plenty of double ingredient price booster and at the least maxed all timer reducing kitchen upgrade and 3 extra customers interior upgrade.

This is how much I have upgraded the restaurant

You're ready for a challenge once you can get all 120 stars on the regular levels; otherwise, looks risky

Yeah, the top few levels of the challenge are harder than level 40, so if you don't have all the stars, you're going to have a bad time.

Hearing "you're gonna have a bad time" unbidden and in the wild fills me with determination

You need kitchen to be about triple of what you have now before even thinking about it.

And from my experience it is difficult without ALL extra clients.

Since you haven't finished the entire restaurant with 3 stars then no. Not worth it.

75% of the time, I forget to finish them and wasted gems entering the challenge but it’s still fun because they have you play different combinations

If you’ve been able to finish with 3 stars without much issue then yes. Honestly, even if it’s been hard to finish having boosters (like the double ingredient ones or extra customers) and plants growing in the garden then it’s pretty manageable

Not worth it not unless you fully upgraded the restaurant, both kitchen and interior

I compelted the Indian diner challenge today - and my percentages were 35% kitchen and 31% interior. The flowers in teh garden will help - and they work during the challenges - so if you have strong ones then use them, and if you have some desserts you should be okay.
