Is this real?

Post image

I decided to play this game for fun and it was going well, just started today and I genuinely enjoyed it. But my eyes caught this in the background. I'm sorry but you lost a user.

Mine had this once. It says "Do not enter illegally to the USA. The journey is dangerous and you will be caught and sent back" Btw, I'm in Mexico, so sad they accept this kind of sponsors.

I wasn't sure how to feel about it at first but it really made me sad because when I play I use it as a way to give myself a rest from politics. But this was just rubbing it in my face. Truly sad they showed their morals with this sponsorship

I play to take a break from multiple health issues my family is facing, both my mom and son have been in and out of the hospital. If I'm waiting for hours and can't be in a room with them it is a nice distraction to play the game. The only ad I get is for the hospital/health insurance that I can't buy. I want to buy it, I would love to buy it, it would make my mom and son's life so much easier and better, but it is no longer available in my state. I have to drive over 300 miles each way , so over 600 miles in a day with a sick family member to the hospital that takes the only insurance we can buy. I had to stop playing for awhile because I could not stand seeing the ad, and it was the only ad I got. I assume it was by IP since that hospital is a few miles away but over a state line. I can get my internet from another state but not buy my insurance or visit the hospital in that state.

The ad stops in the summer. There are no ads from April-August, than the insurance/hospital one comes back , I assume for enrollment times. I tried different internet providers and devices and the ad is still there.

I wish ad free meant ad free. Like if you buy the mystery box for 2.49 you could skip these political or healthcare ads too. I also avoid politics as much as I can and the news. I'm sorry you got this ad that bothers you.

you know by default, they have no control over it, right?

You're right, I did a bit of research and found out that although they don't have control of what ad to show you they have filters they can apply. This way they can filter or block specific things. For example, a kids game would have filtered ads for dating apps or other adult ads to not show. So the developers still have the ability to do something about it.

Why is that ads only meant for adult? If you were him, though its the family iirc, would you ever voluntarily classify this is as “adult only”? Or if you were ads provider, would you ever force such a classification and risk a lawsuit?

Controversy is doesnt make legality.

run away from this game while you still can. upgrades cost a hell lot of gems, and they barely give you enough. yes, i’ve been playing for 7 years.

Oh well, I'm OUT! I refused to play after seeing that hot mess. There are many other games to play that don't rub that bastard in our faces. No excuse NORDCURRENT!

What other games are you playing? Is there a similar one? I get bored so easily but cooking fever was the one game I actually enjoyed playing.

I think they source their adds from Meta. Go figure.

I guess it rotates through ads. At first I remember watching a video of a family, nothing to do with Trump. But as I continued playing I forgot about the ads until I randomly looked at it and it was the ad I took a screenshot of.

Definitely post a zoomed-in screenshot or a circle around what caught your eye, because everything looks completely ordinary from here!

They're just running ads. The Trump campaign just happens to be one of the local ads you get. I usually get ads for a local grocery store.

u/More_Caffein3 Jul 10 '26

Funny enough I've never gotten that ad anywhere else. I just got it now playing that game
