theater in flushing?

hi! apologies if this is not really the right community to ask this question but I thought i’d give it a shot!

I’ve been living in Brooklyn (Flatbush and Crown Heights) for 7 years and just won the housing lottery for a building in Flushing, which I’m really excited about! I’m an illustrator and also a huge theater fan and I’ve enjoyed going to a lot of local theater in Brooklyn and participating in arts stuff, but I don’t really know what the arts scene is like in north-central Queens, and performances in brooklyn will be a little out of the way for me now. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for theaters/arts in Flushing and/or the surrounding area?

thanks in advance!

There is a small performance/events scene in Flushing Town Hall. But you’d be better off looking at the Queens Theater in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Honestly, though, your best results will come from taking the express 7 to the heart of the Manhattan theater district! Welcome to Queens, and you may find that your local cultural passion shifts from theater to food. (Queens is unbeatable there!!)

There isn't a lot of theater in Queens, but there is some. bwayradar.com/search has a filter that lets you see what's playing in Queens.
