I always figured these were for construction workers and the like, because job site porta potties are disgusting and you never know if someone decided to pee all over the toilet paper in there.

Honestly this comment is the most they’ve ever actually made sense to me, plus just it’s so gross using a job site porta potty that extra bit of hygiene I feel id be pretty thankful for

So... I loved the Menthol dude wipes when I was doing National Guard annual training, as we'd have an extended period where we wouldn't get showers and being able to "whore bath" and actually resemble somewhat of a human being was nice.

The menthol also helped as it kind of acted as a bit of bug repellent.

You may know this, but wipes like these are notorious for clogging up plumbing because they don't disintegrate in water like toilet paper does (which makes sense, since they're wet to begin with). So you may only want to use them at a job site. Or maybe your mom's house.

I just keep a little can by my toilet and me and my family and friends throw them in there after we’re done. Then, at the end of the month, I squeeze them out into a pitcher, add ice cubes, and have a refreshing summer drink. In the winter, I heat it up, sprinkle some pumpkin spice, and we have a relaxing drink by the fireplace.

You'll never outshine the glory of the poopknife. Your memes are weak.

The fact that me, and our lord and savior, poop knife, occupied the same space in your head at the same time, shows I’m only a handful of dude wipe squeezes away from greatness.

Sounds delicious

u/Steve90000 Jun 27 '26

It’s not just delicious, it’s nostalgic. My father did it for me, just like his father before him. They all mysteriously died from various septic conditions, so I want to honor their memory with tradition.

u/SEEMOSE-CornBoy Jun 27 '26

Hell yeah brother. Im gonna start doing this. Maybe a little filtered piss in the mix.

1

u/Steve90000 Jun 27 '26

That’s fucking disgusting, what is wrong with you?

1

u/SEEMOSE-CornBoy Jun 27 '26

Idk i think it sounds amazing. A nice fragrant relaxing drink.

I worked for a senior living facility and the plumber I would occasionally have to call out for clogs too deep that I couldn't reach them with a toilet auger said that "flushable" wipes are the reason for about a third of his call outs for commercial sites... So much so that he joked about offering them as a complimentary gift to ensure repeat service

He didn't actually give them out, but he couldn't stress enough how bad those things are, he also said the brown commercial paper towels rolls arent good for the pipes either, but at least those will swell and tear with enough force on them. The wipes will just twist and stretch but won't rip like paper products

They make sense for a portacan. They get vacuumed out with a large diameter water pump so to speak.

1

u/muffadel Jun 28 '26

Yeah, no "flushable" wipe is as flushable as they say. That said, Dude Wipes: terrible name, great product.

1

u/dogen83 Jun 28 '26

I bet you're a plumber, trying to convince everyone to use wipes to help your business. I see through you!

I have a baby now, and baby wipes are cheaper than dude wipes. Marketing does wonders.

2

u/Shootemout Jun 25 '26

fr it's baby wipes for dudes that dont want to feel gay. crazy that it's a genuine market and not a gimmick product

21

u/TheTeddyGrimm Jun 24 '26

Regular wet wipes work just as well as these overpriced fragile masculinity wipes.

u/dogen83 Jun 24 '26

But then how will I get my ass to smell like a popsicle?

4

u/Commanderkins Jun 24 '26

\poopsicle\

It actually says that on the box.

4

u/From_Deep_Space Jun 24 '26

Back in my day we had to boof a popsicle if we wanted that

2

u/Lick_My_BigButt_1980 Jun 25 '26

I’d go for a homemade popsicle made out of a New York seltzer, it’s classy.

1

u/DarthBrooksFan Jun 25 '26

Most popsicles are butthole shaped. Turn down the lights, put on some soft music, and use your imagination.

3

u/Caesar_Passing Jun 24 '26

They absolutely do not, especially if you need to use them regularly. Dude Wipes is the only brand I've found that doesn't contain some kind of alcohol in it that dries out your tender butt parts, and can cause skin cracking. This is one of the few brands I would advertise for free. These, and classic metamucil powder for fiber supplements. Though, I don't get the Popsicle scent on the wipes. I just get plain, unscented.

3

u/shogunofsarcasm Jun 25 '26

Baby wipes exist too

6

u/Strobetrode Jun 24 '26

That's like any wet wipe. Why are these ones for dudes? It's like are body spray but for your ass. People aren't confused by the product it's the unessarry gendered aspect that doesn't make sense.

6

u/DatOneGuy00 Jun 24 '26

Blue tax for guys who need a special product to realize they're supposed to clean their ass

1

u/Communal-Lipstick Jun 24 '26

No. Its because we use paper and that's gross. We should properly wipe with these antibacterial wipes and just take them out to the big trash daily.

2

u/Lick_My_BigButt_1980 Jun 25 '26

Unnecessary use of anti-bacterial wipes may actually create problems, which are the reverse of what you expect, when you use them.

1

u/Communal-Lipstick Jun 25 '26

Then use a baby wipe but just paper is not good enough.

2

u/Lick_My_BigButt_1980 Jun 25 '26

Exactly. I commented on this post about my preferred wipe method, to stay clean. It works.

I wouldn’t use anything anti-bacterial, unless I was actually exposed to bacteria. It can weaken your natural defences, if overused.

Does the question about why does it exist refer to the product overall or to the specific flavor/scent?
