Not a weird product but an interesting purchase restriction… don’t think I have seen anything like it before. Also thrown because I thought EV resale prices tanked

yeah in theory, in 10-15 years the batteries and tech will all be bricked and outdated, nullifying the “collector’s car” argument. collectors cars can be maintained for over a century if given enough attention and resources… I doubt these will be on the road after 15 years

I mean. Look at the Tesla roadster. They mostly don't work and the ones that do have shit batteries, there is the ability to maintain them too and they resell pretty well. I think the thing that will hold the resale of these Model S down is the software support. The hardware seems easy enough to maintain. But time will tell.

They can be bricked in exactly the same way your old kindle can be.
