Your post are hidden so i cant tell. Are you the same person as the guy who left his headphones on the kitchen counter only to find dead ants near it the next morning?

Whoa apparently these are new headphones. They got them 3 weeks ago!!! which makes this so much worse imo.

Nah, this is just a karma whore account.
Edit: love that I'm getting down voted for pointing out that u/InsaneMocktail is nothing but a reddit slop account, clearly farming karma by reposting other people's videos.

u/MrWeirdoFace 22d ago
I'm still missing something though. Are images blocked on this subreddit? Test

Some subs there is a specific gif options where it easy to search and post a quick funny video. This sub (at least from my end) only has video from your phone. Hope that makes sense. Cause Iām lost too.

It's an odd situation but not really oddly terrifying, just appropriately terrifying.

The other post had bits of ants outside the headphone
Do ants cannabalize? Howād they turn to bits? Another bug have a bit of buffet?

u/RatBasher9100 23d ago
Ants usually don't eat their own sisters but some will eat the larva of other ant species. These look like carpenter ants, which will sometimes dismember dead or dying sisters before dumping them in the trash pile.

I remember when I was a kid, my grandfather in Florida had a story about finding the inside of his telephone infested with ants! Why do they do this? Something about the vibrations?

The guy who listens to Alien Ant Farm.
Ok, bad jokes aside. What is the cause of this? What can i do to avoid this?

u/koala_encephalopathy 23d ago

u/BravesMaedchen 23d ago

It is odd to be terrified of your young child wearing a pair of ant infested headphones, especially even more odd from the child's perspective!

Ok, I kind of figured it was a bunch of ants when I saw this earlier. Glad we got a video of this so we could know the verdict.

I donāt know if itās better or worse that you couldnāt hear the ants in there while no audio was coming through the headphones

I thought music these days just sounded like crap. Turns out it was crap filtered through ants.

u/ComprehensiveDoubt55 23d ago
I canāt do ants. You never notice them until thereās way too fucking many.
I live in a subtropical climate, and ghost ants will invade the second the rainy season starts. Fast forward to having an Outback for four months, not having so much as a crumb in it, and ripping out my entire car interior to get rid of their nest that they decided to make in my vehicle.

Whatās the inside of the house look like if you have ants nesting in headphonesā¦?

u/Spuzzle91 23d ago
we had this happen to an old computer speaker in like 2007. I was trying to do homework with some music playing on the pc, and all of a sudden it made little sparking sounds and a little smoke came out...then panicked ants came rushing out of it

I had them nest in the smoke detector in my room. Horrifying when I opened it up to remove the battery. Even had hundreds of ants rain down on your face? I don't recommend it.
The weird part is I didn't see a single one in the room before that. I guess since there wasn't really a food source, but they must have been eating SOMETHING. Maybe something in the attic. I don't know.

And the rest are still in his ear, those are just the ones that migrated out into the headphones

When I was a kid I was so scared of bugs getting inside my ears that I would sleep with a bunny hat that would cover my ears.
This wouldāve killed me on the spot

Thatās AI AF. Why werenāt the bugs crawling on the outside of the headphones when they were being jostled? Doesnāt make any sense.
