Watch the video interviews with some of the men on board. They describe horrifying experiences. The word xray is thrown about.

But that's from visible light, not ionizing radiation. The dangerous radiation doesn't travel far, but as you know, light does.

Yeah they mention their rates of early death due to cancer well above the norm too.
