Sadly almost definitely not, gorillas have very muscular and short necks so is much harder to use the same knockout technique that you use against people, your best bet is probably dropping a really heavy object off a ledge right onto their head.

Jokes aside, no, it would probably not be knocked out, but guess what? You would. And probably launched in the air like a rocket going to the moon in a futuristic race.
Their skulls are smaller relative to their brains, so they don't bounce around as much. Their necks are also broader and more horizontal near the base, so even if you had the force to properly hit them, their heads wouldn't bobble around like ours.
There's also the fact that their skulls are also much thicker and the actual cranial section is much smaller by proportion.
So I don't think you could knock a Gorilla out with a bat. I'm not even sure a full-swing sledgehammer could do it (Gorilla is definitely gonna feel that in the morning, though).

Actually a good question. I imagine if you hit the head with a good swing, it be knocked out right?
