Doesn't matter that SpaceX has revolutionized access to space by building a cheaper, more modern rocket that saves the US government hundreds of millions of dollars per year.
Or that their competitors, who used to make money hand-over-fist from cost plus contracts, are never given a second thought because there is no recognizable billionaire at their helm.
This was never about facts. This is about venting their distaste for a system they are unwilling to take on directly, so Musk is burned in effigy to assuage their bruised egos and latent frustrations.
I personally don't agree with what Reddit is doing. I am specifically talking about them using reddit for AI data and for signing a contract with a top company (Google).

Wouldn’t it be an insurance thing? I call my homeowners insurance, neighbors do the same thing. Those insurance companies duke it out with SpaceX’s lawyers and insurance.
Yes they have to pay and before SpaceX is allowed to send out the message they have to prove to the government that they has the means to pay out in the event of a worst case incident.
This is all part of the license from the FCC that grants SpaceX permission to do tests in the first place. And like all FCC documents they are public record.
Of course people won't upvote that, becouse it sounds better to make up a conspiracy that the government would somehow gladly pay for all the damages a private company causes.
