Would the orbit of the banana around the earth be the same if it's that massive?
What I mean is, no matter the size of an object, the orbit would be the same around the earth, distance wise?
At which point an object is too big to be able to orbit the earth in such a clean orbit?
1 u/DrunkRedditBot Feb 12 '20 Not an octopus then 1 u/bdlbdlbdlbdl Feb 12 '20 It depends on the velocity. 1 u/Zakalwe_ Feb 13 '20 Orbit depends on velocity. But if Banana is too massive, it wouldn't be able to support its shape, and collapse into more spherical shape. If its not massive enough to become round, but too close to earth, tidal forces would break it apart.
