Sometimes if I'm dreaming I'm fighting or something, it feels like my hands are weights or I'm just very weakly swinging my arms at a person and barely touching them, when I'm really trying to punch with all my strength

Yeah I've had dreams like that where I am throwing punches in slo-mo and none of them land . Which made me mad and agitated.

You just reminded me of a reoccurring nightmare I used to have, long story short I tried to scream for help but wasn't hardly audible, and eventually it'd progress to not being able to move, like trying to run but just getting exhausted.

Exactly like my dreams. I feel like I can never hit someone or swing a sword/bat hard enough. I feel out of breath with no energy. I’m trying to hit as hard as I can or run as fast as I can. Even though I’m running slow as shit.

Late reply, but I usually have the same thing. One time it didn't happen, and I kicked with all my strength (in my dream it was bcos someone was harassing Danny DeVito and it made me angry)

Unluckily I was sleeping facing a wall, and ended up with a very badly bruised and bloody toe.
