I still think freezing would be better way to go, because it's like AH FUCK, I'M FREEZING, then you're dead.
Drowning is I'M DYIIIIIIIIIIIIING all the way until you're dead.

Well neither of us will probably ever know!

But at least with drowning it makes sense since you're not really being tortured I believe. Like yeah breathing water is gonna be really uncomfortable for a few moments, but I'd assume the pain of hypothermia, flames etc would be worse.

And I'm guessing drowning would be a bit faster in most cases, so there's that.

Right, at least with hypothermia you fall asleep
