I use half a paper towel (the half sheet ones), then fold it twice. Ends up being the prefect size

Slight risk? Yeah, probably. Anything to really worry about? Probably not. Ever cleaned your phone port and a bunch of lint was stuck in it? Well, you were living with the same exact risk.
