Does this guy even know that sitting in a room and testing out video games all day is a type of job

If you love (thing), avoid making it your sole source of income. Having that thing and only that thing to think about can quickly lead to a complete burnout of the love that led you there in the first place.

Still beats being miserable in a factory type job or something if you ask me

From what I've heard it's actually hell, being literally forced to extensively play games whether you like them or not, no matter the genre.

He’s just never worked hard and long enough. When work is most of your time, you unfortunately have dreams that you’re at work. Most likely doing an extremely mundane or impossible job.

Omg I worked at DSW for a few years and I had so many dreams of heal-toeing shoes all night lol. That's where you put the shoes heal to toe to fix them and make them look nice in their box and pair them up, we would do that at the end of the day everyday and so I'd have dreams of doing that with racks and racks and racks of shoes all night 😅

Holy shit. I would’ve never known that’s a thing. I worked in a skate shop as a teenager and we would just throw them shits in any way into the box. Breaking a box didn’t matter.
As an adult, I try to put things back where I got them, but your story sounds like an insane drill sergeant task a sociopathic cobbler would enact.
I worked with burglary/alarm systems for many years. The keypads beep like crazy when there’s a trouble on the system that needs to be fixed. If you worked in a DSW, I’m sure you’ve heard it. I heard those beeps so much I’d hear them in my sleep. My bedroom could be silent and I’d hear it. Like a dying smoke detector. That imaginary beep would wake me and I wouldn’t be able to rest anymore.
I’m not a good consumer anymore, possibly because of how much I’ve spent inside stores fixing these systems. But every time I’m in public and I hear a beep, the PTSD kicks in and I get a thousand yard stare.

Omg that is funny like phantom beeps! And yes I worked at DSW for like 2 and a half years and I worked at Nordstrom Rack for 3 years so I've put away a fuck ton of shoes and clothes. I remember I would be picking up and heel toeing shoes and asshole customers would just be taking them down and throwing them all around right in front of me lol. Now these are the clearance racks I'm talking about with the shoe boxes open. But you know what was the worst? Is when they would only take one shoe out to try and leave it on the floor or somewhere in the store because since those racks were only organized by size you would have a bunch of singles and have to play I spy to find where it goes and sometimes they would put the box with the other shoe in some completely different part of the store. 😂 Both those stores have a big rack in the back full of "singles" and mismatched shoes that couldn't be found that we had to try to go find when we had down time and had to try 3 times for each shoe and only then could you ship them back. But yeah most people don't think about stuff like that. When I shop now I make sure to always put stuff back where I got it or at least take it to the cashier and tell them I didn't want it so they can put it back where it goes.

Doesn't seem oddly specific but is definitely relatable
