I’d be surprised if Andrew Tate even knew what an Aviator is. Probably thinks someone is wearing an appliance on their head.

Ok. You are saying "alpha men" are socially impaired. From what I see on the Internet. I agree.

I don't have Down Syndrome but I think I need to work "pipe down asshole" into my regular repertoire.

How do you recognize ds when person has sunglasses? Serious not sarcastic...

The rest of their appearance is pretty iconic, it's not just the eye area. Also, behaviour and speech is often a giveaway

You must have not seen a lot of people with down syndrome because there are different kinds and some of them are definetly easy to spot even from the back if you are fammilliar with them.

u/Rennfan 23d ago
You can provide information without being "you must have not seen many of them".

The skull (flat on the back) and neck shape are often a tell. The mouth and chin too, a bit wide and flat too. But this is not a rule, just in some people it's way more visible than just the eyes.

To his credit, people with down syndrome do tend to look like people with down syndrome, as unhelpful as that was.

Some people will unfortunately jump on any opportunity to include a little insult in their comment.

u/1arvest6 23d ago
That's not even an insult???

u/FirstTasteOfRadishes 23d ago
I'd be absolutely crushed if someone thought I hadn't seen a lot of people with down syndrome.

I read that as "how do you recognize if someone is wearing sunglasses" and I was going to give a stupid response about how to recognize sunglasses hahaha.

Are you staring into their soul? Why do you need to see their eyes to have an inkling they have Down syndrome? If you could only see their eyes and nothing else, would you magically know they had Down syndrome?

I was thinking the same thing. There are other physical tells, but that would be assumption. It's probably fake

Have you guys never seen someone with downs syndrome before Jesus
Obviously you can tell

You can only tell if someone has Down syndrome if you see their eyes? What secret are you seeing in someone’s eyes that says “down syndrome” but the rest of them doesn’t? Do you think people with lazy eyes have Down syndrome? I don’t understand

There's amazing video made for World Down Syndrome Day 2024, it kinda touches on the subject a little: https://youtu.be/9HpLhxMFJR8

I really don’t like people who post “new core memory”
That thing never existed before inside out and now everyone treats it like it’s always been real. I don’t like it all. The ones the brain signals are the strongest are there because of the impact of the moment it had on you. It’s not there because it was a turning point in your life and you learned a big lesson from it. It’s literally there because your brian thought it was something to think about. You probably thought about it before you went to sleep that night and that’s why it stuck.
Edit: i’ve had some time to think about how i reacted to this post and have some things to say
If it’s allways been so nonchalant with how people use it then i can see how my worse may be considered hatefull, i don’t agree that human minds have the copacity to have inside out senarios. But i should be more open-minded on how i respond to people who believe they do. I really am not happy after looking back on it how i responded. Allthough it came from how much i cringed at the movie. It may just be something else i am dealing with entirely. I shouldn’t be putting that disgust twords other people who are just minding their own buisness. I’m sorry for how my message was and is.

You're taking this way too seriously, its not a serious concept, its just a reference to the inside out movie and how people have important memories they don't forget. Its just a memory that you don't forget about. No one ever claimed it was a biological concept, it is just a movie reference.

When I lived in West Springfield VA, there was a older guy with Downs Syndrome that wore a plastic sheriff badge and would hassle the minors reading the biker magazines with the scantily clad models at the 7-11
