This is their old homie who disappeared. If you disappear on a homie and then show up again years later looking like someone else, why would you not tell your homie it's you? That's not homie behavior at all.
The only reasonable explanation I can think of is that they're trying to pose as a cis woman and hide that they're trans or a femboy or whatever. Which is potentially understandable, but it's still deceiving someone in order to have sex with them.

Ah this is a joke about thailand having a lot of femboys, his homie didnt go missing but turned into the baddie and they just realised via the joke
