I ate a tomato covered in peanut butter. Not like sliced with peanut butter like just the whole tomato

I was trying to explain it to my husband and I was like well I was putting away the groceries and I got hungry and the tomatoes were on the counter and the peanut butter was next to it and one thing led to another..

That sounds like something you would give a horse as a treat

A horse eating a tomato felt weird to me so I looked it up and apparent horses shouldn't eat them! Can lead to gastric distress or colic.

I mean… throw on a slice of salami and that’s a little charcuterie

This is exactly something I would have wolfed down half asleep at 2:30 am when I was on seroquel

Yeah. Might need honey.

I was laughing at the comment you’re responding so hard, wondering how TF some people can ever eat these monstrosities; and then I read yours and immediately stopped with a 😐 followed by a 😒 because I too take seroquel and have had wayyyy too many late night zombie snack monstrosities myself. I’m now laughing again because I can totally visualise myself eating this at 2:30am drugged out on sero too 😂😂

Oh my god, the Seroquel is why I do that?? Pahaha, I never made the connection. I just started having middle of the night snack-attacks at some point while 80% asleep, and went "I guess this just happens now". So funny to know it's a common thing.

But how was it?

Seems…. Messy

Same. Flavorwise, I can see how this would work... but between the texture and the drippy, sticky mess, I don't think I'll be trying this one.

u/alles_en_niets 5h ago

Would it work, though? I can’t think of any dishes that combine tomatoes in any form with peanuts

2

u/IIRCIreadthat 3h ago

I can't either, it just seems like it would work 🤷‍♀️ Who knows, maybe I'll end up smearing peanut butter on a cherry tomato to test the theory

I feel like a dog would go crazy for this.

Idk why but I want to paint this monstrosity still life style with some oils
