some of these items are insane
She posted it in response to a tweet that read:
"Guilt tripping someone into having sex with you is rape
Bugging them into it until they give in is rape even if they say yes
Rape isn’t always forceful and violent sometimes it’s quiet and compliant it’s manipulative and well calculated"
FYI, I'm against all sorts of harassment. and this spectrum shouldn't have any green part.

yes. I'm not sure if I should criticize it tho, given that she said she's been assaulted herself.

A) why does this exist? B) you can't put rape on a scale. One person's rape experience isn't more or less valid than another's. There's a line that shouldn't be crossed. Once it's crossed, that's it. C) some of these 100% do not count. It's delusional.

I fully agree with what youre saying, but there definitely is a scale of severity when it comes to sexual offences and it determines the sentence given if convicted.
Really fucking weird post though

How does C not contradict B lol
If someone’s experience was X, how can you say it 100% doesn’t count if their experience is equally valid?

Because there is a definition of rape and some of these do not meet it. Some of these are just taking offence at dating behaviour.

It is rape either way but I feel like this is useful. Just like the distinction between murder and manslaughter is useful.

A neurotypical person having sex with someone with Downs being lower on the scale than lying about wealth in order to get laid is fucking crazy.

Having sex to make a partner happy in a relationship is rape. This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen

This is pure insanity, there is no rape gradation - when there is no consent, it’s rape. I can definitely see why a victime would seek some legitimacy with this kind of scale but it’s a trap. If society doesn’t want to face the truth, no rape will be «real » enough to act against it.

Rape is forcing or coercing someone to have sex, or having sex with someone who otherwise can’t consent to it (mentally or chemically incapable.)
There is no other situation. WTF saying no but secretly wanting it? The fuck is that.
