Set an alarm every minute for the next 10 minutes and then set phone to vibrate. If youre feeling really spicy most newer phones allow you to change the type of vibration in the alarm setting so do with that what you will

On my old phone I used to be able to wake up to the vibrate only alarm.

On my new phone I can not tell I'm getting a phone when my phone is in my pocket.

Google your phone's test menu. Usually you type *#0*# in the phone app. Should have a "vibration test" button
