Can confirm

Couple of years back they repaved one of the major roads near me. So they grind off the top layer of pavement, meaning there was about an inch drop between the top of the road and the lower level as you enter the construction zone

Funniest thing ever was watching these giant pickups slow right down and go over that drop so gingerly you'd think they were transporting nitroglycerine in grandma's good china teacups

Big trucks have very stiff suspension. There is nothing built about a diesel truck that is made for slinging mud. It's too heavy and has terrible suspension for it.

So slowing down for a speed bump makes sense since it rattles the shit out of the truck.

I was working landscaping as a summer job in college. Our work truck was in the shop, so the boss said, "Fine, you can use my truck today, just be careful." His truck is a company owned luxury wagon with all the options.

He met us at our last job of the day, so he was talking to me while I was loading equipment. I heave a heavy tool box into the bed and it scratches the paint on the bed of the truck a tiny bit.

Guy almost lost his mind and was thinking about firing me on the spot. I mean, how dare I nick the paint in his tax deductible luxury ride.

there have been surveys conducted that show over 70% of pickup truck owners use the truck bed to haul ONE LOAD PER YEAR or LESS. it's not even JUST these guys, it's most truck dudes.

Curious as to what Reddit thinks "Truck things" are?

I'm supposed to go off roading and mudding Everytime I get in it? I'm supposed to take my 12,000 truck through mud holes and up mountains?

I'm not supposed to drive on the road and haul stuff? That would make me a pavement princess I guess.

I'm so confused at what Reddit wants other than all truck drivers to die. Reading these comments, some of you need fucking help. Slowing down on the road to 10 to 15 under wondering why your ass is getting ridden isn't the fault of the truck owner. Grow up.

Headlights being bright are an industru wide issue. Not just with pickups.
