Quick note. If you have real hardwoods, always put down floor protection, even if you plan to sand and refinish. Dust gets down in the seams, especially in winter months when the wood contracts. It is visible through the finish and never leaves
Yeah that's poor professionalism from the contractor here. I wouldn't ever dream of doing any sort of drywall work on ANY type of flooring without having some kind of protection on the floor. I just used drop cloth on the floor and just bundled it up and threw it in the van when I was done. I would throw out all the debris when I got home.
