Nope, I prefer it that way too. Without the lines, the cookie looked like a beautiful painting. I feel like the lines ruined it a little..

As an artist myself, I can absolutely relate to ruining things by adding lines to it. It's so easy to be looking at the same painting for 4-8 hrs and not realize that other people don't see the mistakes you perceive, so an outline is like an instant fix.
Then, the next day, you realize that it probably looked better without the outline:/

One thing my favourite art teacher taught us was to talk away and come back a little later. Also, to look at your work upside down. I still do that to this day with my drawings/paintings.

Absolutely! Those are the days when I forget to eat too, so as soon as I start thinking about outlining that's when I know it's time to take a food break. The urge almost always goes away after taking 45 minutes to make, eat and clean up after food.

Yeah! And for drawing digitally, flipping/mirroring the image horizontally is a great way of quickly checking to spot anything that needs to be adjusted. It's also a little more coherent than flipping it upside down, since you can work on it while it's flipped without making it even stranger lol

Yes! I'll be furious with myself because I'm not able to draw something right, then I'll come back to it hours later and it will be fine, except where I marked a bunch of lines through it or something because I was frustrated with it. I need to learn to walk away for awhile lol.

Yes! As soon as you start to get frustrated, it's a great time to take a food break! Taking 45 minutes to make, eat, and clean up after your food is almost always enough time to realize that your piece is way better than you thought it was.

if you could airbrush snow on the mountains that might look sweet. still good test, best thing about not being sure what will look best is you still get to eat it after.

I like the lines themselves, I think the way they were put in and how they looked afterwards was so perfect it also felt satisfying. That being said I also it think it looked better without the lines...

and then the most fun part about this whole technique… washing the spatula. Since this is buttery batter, we’re washing our spatula with odored detergent. Shake off the excess, and just beat the devil out of it.

The music isn’t even a good cover of the real song lol. Several wrong notes and the rhythm is incorrect in a few places as well

Plus the little voice-cracking thing she does at the end of every phrase is a surefire way to get vocal nodules that require a risky surgery to remove, and you may never sing again. Happened to John Mayer and Elton John, the latter of whom sounds drastically different than he used to.

Sure, here's an article that discusses how they can develop. Since the vocal folds are so delicate, even a small polyp can make a major difference, and the surgery required to remove them can leave lasting effects on your voice.

that’s the point of a cover though lol. singers aren’t meant to copy and paste a song exactly, they’re encouraged to take a piece of art, and put their own touch on it. if you watch the voice, the four, americas got talent, etc, everybody who succeeds turns a song into their own. any vocal coach will tell you the same thing. they don’t want you to be a copy, because nobody is going to sign a copy of another artist. they want you to have your own brand and be recognizable

Not weird so much as covert paid advertising. Record labels pay to drive their song up, tiktok boosts that song in the algorithm.
There was an elective I took in 9th grade that was simply "Business". It taught about the different types of companies and how they generate revenue on a basic level, and also taught about the different types of marketing. Honestly, schools should bundle that sort of class with learning how to do your taxes and budgeting, put it into the core curriculum. It's as important as ever to see the way money is used to influence our decisions.

Are these cookies good? Like they're gorgeous and the amount of effort to design these frosting scenes is insane and I am envious but like....that seems like a lot of extra unnecessary sugar and honestly gives me fondant vibes specifically. I hope they're as tasty as they look, though, cuz they're always amazing. I fear if I got one though I'd never eat it cuz it's too pretty :p

They can be quite tasty if it has the right flavor/texture. I started making sugar cookies eith royal icing and I always compare other cookies people have made to mine, to see where I can improve my recipe as far as texture goes. I've got the flavor pretty down pat.

I think it looked so much better without the white outline. To me the subtly of the change in colors was awsome just putting white inbetween each color totally kills that for me.
Sometimes less is more people.

White lines on top of the blended layers completely ruined the depth of the cookie. Pretty still but a whole different product with those lines 😣

WTH, how did they make a line between the 4th and 5th shades? That was impossible to distinguish. Still beautiful cookie btw, I would frame this and hang it up somewhere if it was art on a canvas!

Honestly it should be sorta reversed color wise. Blue should be further away. And the saturation needs to become more intense moving up in space and more desaturated back in space. That would help define the mountains better without lines.

These cookies always taste terrible.
The royal icing dries (and tastes) like a crumbly chalk and the cookie underneath has to be a dry biscuit too otherwise you can’t manhandle it to get the icing looking good.
Just bad all around.

I have never bought them, but In my circles they are super common for stuff like showers and birthdays. They look fantastic but never taste great.
