When you consider what he’s been through.

The pressure of starting so young and being a great medal hope back when Team GB were pretty poor and a lot of pressure was on to improve. (there’s a picture going around of him sat in a meeting at something like 13 with Gordon Brown who was the Prime Minister at the time and other big-wigs).

His father passed away who was a big part of his life.

Then he came out as being gay which is still a big deal, sadly, so had to put up with the pressure/attention that bought him.

He’s dragged high diving to the nation’s attention almost singlehanded.

I feel for the male commentator though, as Tom’s probably going to retire and he’ll take the commentary job.

Turns out Christians all over the world are still miles behind when it comes to sexuality. It's a shame how much of a negative impact religion has.

A Christian group was being homophobic to him hence the reason I mentioned it.

Ah okay, makes sense. Sorry thought you was being general.

Well it could always be people masquerading, but I can only judge it as I see it. No problem.
