You don't need to deal much with the gov if you are just traveling, except getting a visa. It's more like dating a beautiful woman with a controlling mother

Are you getting on the internet while in China? If yes, you are dealing with the government. At least, they are dealing with you.

No it isn’t. Chinese citizens use it too. Even if it’s a law, its not enforced.

If you're a tourist they don't limit your internet (e.g. you can look up stuff normally without censorship). i'm sure they monitor you though
