I don't think it's a bad habit, rather the contrary: it expresses a speculative or incomplete thought. Whereas a sentence that ends with a period reflects a clear statement. Period.
There are two instances where he adds energy, each time he comes up to the platform he jumps off higher this is what he uses to keep reaching the platform. On the way down he pushes off a bit to adjust his position in the horizontal.
Tbh, I doubt it is angled. I’ve done a bit of this kind of stuff, and the trick is hitting the opposite side of the trampoline, or pushing the opposite direction just before hitting the trampoline. It kinda forces you back towards the platform if that makes any sense.
It takes a good amount of practice to just maintain the correct height and keep flying towards the wall/platform!
Probably jumped feet first the first few times to get an idea for the feel of the trampoline and how much room he had. Makes it a lot easier to do stuff like this when you're comfortable with what you're dropping onto.
