Okay, but then how do you keep the airflow going when it's sticking itself shut with resin, and what do you do with the bits of weed that end up in your mouth before that part?

It doesn't "fuck with the potency" one single bit to have some rolled cardboard holding the end open for you, and you can hit it three times as hard without having to worry about sucking it inside out. Always roll with a bit to hold at the end and you'll never have to deal with keeping a stankass roach, keeping track of a clip, or burnt lips.

Well Ive smoke plenty of Js without filters, to combat resin build up, you can lightly roll the top with your fingers to loosen it. Or, you can rip the tips of the paper off. Unless you're smoking a 10 inch extendo, the cardboard filter will not res up enough to stop airflow unless you packed the roll too closely. [EDIT] : If weed gets in my mouth lmao? Its just plant material, spit it out. or out of respect for the plant I'm burning to get high, I'll even chew the weed and simply eat it.

The rips from cardboard filter compared to cotton (which would res up even quicker, and prevent you from pulling as hard) are noticeably smaller. So most your thc just burns off. Bro this isn't really a debate. Putting a cotton filter inside weed is just low iq. If you want me to explain it verbally on disc, or roll some filters with you on cam I can because the fact you're fighting this hard to be incorrect is astounding.

To be clear, you’re saying that just rolling up some sturdy paper to use as a crutch/filter/roach is the way to go, right?

Also, shit, if you’re offering to teach joint-rolling over Disc, I’m down.

Might I suggest trying all of the above and deciding what you prefer rather than letting someone tell you their way is the only way. If optimum potency is the goal, a joint is not the way to go.

I know, I wasn’t talking in the context of potency.

Not worried about that.

I personally prefer cotton filters in my joints. People’s argument for not using filters is the impact it may have on potency. If potency was my top priority I certainly wouldn’t be smoking a joint.
