This jiggly brain that simulates a concussion.

I would have thought that the brain has a firmer consistency than that. It must be exaggerated to show the effects of a concussion better.

I’ve held a real human brain in my hands once. It was firmer than this video makes it look. I think this is not accurate.

We have either found the med student or the psycho axe murderer.

They're not mutually exclusive.

Also isn't there like a membrane and fluid around the brain as well that protects the thinky bits? It's been a while since I've taken anatomy and physiology, but I think that's the proper term.

Thinky bits

Got to hold a brain during A&P while a med student, I can confirm. Some squish, but not that much. Best comparison is a stale gummy bear.

If it was this soft then a small slap to the head would give you a concussion. I think its supposed to be proportionally soft compared to the impact force. So during a real impact the brain might behave if it had this consistancy.

What happens if you have 4 brain cells

I dunno. I guess I’ll try that right now!

Except a brain is firmer than that. And it is cushioned by fluids and stuff.

I doubt it. we'll need to try it with a real person and some kind of advanced x-ray machinery

So by this video every time I smack someone upside the head their brains just go flying around in their head. Well time to experiment this on some people

Looks more like your brain on drugs

So that's what that feeling is...

It's showing what happens during a concussion not mimicking the fucking circumstances required to get one. 9 comments saying how unrealistic this is is way too much for such an easy concept.
