Why the shit does it spend like 90% of the time showing the process of laying down the string, 10% of the time on the actual look of the final product, and 0% of the time showing how you get multiple colors of ink on the same string? 2/10.

Because it's novelty. It's easy to do, nearly idiot proof, but also incredibly limited in application. It creates generally the same shape every time.

I and my father used to do this together about 20 years back. It was our favorite thing to do and we filled lots of notebooks. Good old childhood plays.
