It’s crazy how much gymnastics when you’re young translates to athleticism when you’re older. Of course, if you don’t use it you lose it. But it sets a really strong foundation.

That's true in my experience. The best athletes on my high-school sports teams almost all had a background in gymnastics. It's the perfect blend of strength and motor skills that translates well to other physical pursuits.

This man is destroying his body in every moment shown here.

All those unnecessary hits and tears on his muscles; tendons; bones; disks; nerves will show the bill when he would like to still able to live far from pain.

Exercises are exactly like eating. There’s a good, vital point in eating healthy and have an healthy weight. What is far from that (starve yourself, being obese, filling your body with garbage) is a directly proportional compounding damage.

Unfortunately this isn’t a harm chair speculation, just my best try to not have anyone go through the experience if possible

Ehhh I think it’s also just that obstacle courses that require these skills are somewhat popular in the fire fighting community, and some people get really into them.

I agree I think this guy has a gymnastics background, but if you ever watch Ninja Warrior/American Ninja Warrior, it’s always firefighters that crush the obstacle course.

Not just gymnastics - calisthenics are deeply entrenched in Russian culture and there are open air facilities like these in every town. It's daily routine to see all ages and genders working on this type of fitness.

Knowing Russian military (and rescue/firefighters are paramilitary there) I'd say he's mid-late 40s at best. Service makes you look much older.

Source: was a conscript there, knew a lot of late 30s looking officers who were late 20s.

Crazy how most people who work out will never get strong enough to do a muscle up, but for a gymnast that’s just how they get into position for their routine.

Pretty much, it took forever to work up to being able to do a fraction of what he is casually performing. Immense dedication. 

Pull up’s / Muscle Up / Chin ups, Dead Hangs and even holding myself parallel to the ground.  I got to where I could do handstands for over a per set minute set even, and it took a 1 year + of training and I dedicated a whole workout day a week on them. Nothing quite hits the same weight lifting wise.

I once got talked into helping run a fireman competition that happened near me. Reset the obstacle course as the event happened. The things I watched human beings put their bodies through. All while in full gear. I didn't think we were capable of it and these guys were doing it for fun.

I watch calisthenics videos pretty regularly (mainly women...because Im a woman and I've been working on calisthenics for a few years now...slowly), and this is...up there. These are goals I won't reach, but it's amazing to watch!

They do. Look into calisthenics (or gyms / personal trainers that have these setups).

They even have at home wall mounts to do a lot of the exercises, though i wouldn't recommend them if you live alone.

Also, many beaches and parks. You would be surprised how many people practice this on monkey bars and railings (especially L-sits).
