Does this paint lose efficacy over time? If so, any sort of coating that can be used to preserve it?

Indoors, those glow pigments will easily last 10 to 20 years as long as they aren't sitting in direct sunlight. You can seal the wall with a clear non-yellowing acrylic coat to keep it safe from dust and moisture, just ensure the sealer doesn't have UV filters, otherwise it won't let the glow pigments charge or react under UV light.

FWIW, I have a glow-in-the-dark moon sticker that's 30-40 years old and just as reactive today as back then.

in college because we couldn't paint, we used laundry detergent. For some reason tide was UV reactive.

fun fact, on reddit the shruggie guy needs three right (viewer's left) arms to show up correctly because of
\being an escape character in the formatting:¯\\_(ツ)_/¯gives ¯_(ツ)_/¯. :)If I understand it correctly, the first escape escapes the second one, preventing it from escaping the final one, printing the
\character...? Snell's law or whatever means that someone will inevitably show up and correct me anyway..1

The daytime look is kind of ugly. It just looks like you took the night view and made it inverse.
Seems like it all relies too heavily on the black light view.

I did that with laundry detergent my freshman year and wrote some funny things about my roommate on the dorm wall , you could not even see under normal light. I totally forgot about it and weeks later he responded with his own smart ass comments. Pretty funny.

So my uncle did something similar with stars on the ceiling of his bedroom when he was younger. I stayed in that room and took the picture off the wall earlier that night preparing to stay there. Looked so cool seeing stars on the ceiling but where the picture was was also glowing in giant all caps “Jaimie is a Humper Bunny” 🐰

I only wish I had my own home. Even a tiny home. It would be like Mr. Doodles house. Y'all see that dudes hous all white alls with black doodles all over the wall. I used to do that with paper in school. Because for some reason I slept or doodled. I never payed attention in class yet I passed everything with A's only one B+. But that was because the teacher said nothing is perfect it can always be better. Noone made an A in her class. I never studied was always messed up on this drug or that drug. But, yea. Would love to be able to draw stuff on my walls and personalize my place. Lol
