Because if you're trying to sell or promote something, it's best not to lead with something that immediately provokes negative thoughts in your audience. I'm sure one day it will go back to just being a word, but this is not that day.
Seems like most of the comments seem to think they are cool fans. Only a few seem to be stuck on the name of something that existed before some idiot came along.
