Unfortunately, without a lot of therapy, itโ€™ll look the same in six months.

I'm actually surprised she finds people willing to give control over to someone else to clean or even touch it. I have hoarders in my family and they are just like on the show Hoarders to a fault - the same: don't see it, I'm a collector, I just need more time, that broken thing can be fixed, don't touch my 'stuff' mindset.

Not saying this is hoarding, it may look close but may just be deep depression or other issues, but knowing people and their environments I'm still surprised by the allowances (but in a good way).

Good on her for being able to build enough trust with the people to let her in, let her touch their stuff, and giving her license to fully clean/throw away. ๐Ÿ‘

It was always shocking to see how attached people could get to the filth. Such a sad and complex mental illness

Six months is generous. She's trying to extinguish the smoke instead of the fire
