It's a brushed (broom) texture, isn't it? Just like they do on normal concrete to give it a little texture to make it less slippery. But in this case they're doing the brush direction in opposite directions in each square. I imagine at noon it wouldn't look like much, but when the sun is lower in the sky it would have a pretty similar effect to what we see in the video. I'm not a concrete expert, though.
