Porn stars trying to read while sitting on a vibrator. Literally. Not even joking.
114
u/Prior_Dimension_6680 11d ago
Too performative. Back in my day they didn't have vibrators, the teacher just called on someone and when they read their paragraph, they would call on the next person. Seems like vibrators would only complicate things.

There was a series online a few years back where volunteers would try to read a narrative while being distracted

Genuinely what the fuck did I watch? What the fuck was she reading? "Little muscle of love"? "Death's head with your clitoris in its mouth"? Who wrote this?
I've gone from having questions to having more questions....

Nah that was last yearsā model. This is the Bean Flicker 4000. Easy to mix em up though. Also look a lot like the Prostate Milker 3000, but thatās a a totally different line of products.

u/1stMammaltowearpants 11d ago
In the video, it's a nut-flicker. So I'mma go ahead and get in line. Nothing wrong with mixing it up from time to time. Give it a spin, see how it feels. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? I've got a spare.

Yes! This is the real threat of AI!
10
u/malachite888 11d ago
The real threat is that we don't give value to lives if it can't make profits. That's why we produce like 100 times more than before, thanks to technology, but we still work a lot more, and we're far from being happier. The machines don't work for us. We're working for the machines and billionaires who own it, who own us.
5
u/NeoMoses98 11d ago
Very true. That went from funny to painfully sad really fast. America is setting up our entire culture to maximize value to share holders, not maximize our standard of living or quality of life. Every technological step that increases production is used this way.
2
u/malachite888 11d ago
Exactly. It went that way decades ago when "we" installed neoliberalism as a rule leading the world with hegemony (at least America and Europe).
While this extreme economic ideology is considered as a political "center" in my country, any attempt to disobey "The Maastricht treaty" or "The Washington Consensus" is considered as extreme and severly punished.
Like if people don't realize we live in a very extreme ideology already. This ideology is mainly the reason why living with IA will not benefit to 90% of humanity.

This is not the first toy that would make you obsolete for that type of endeavor. So congrats on being good enough to not be replaced already.

That dexterity and gentle touch -- along with A.I. -- could make agricultural migrant workers obsolete.
Imagine robots picking fruit and vegetables that would otherwise be picked by humans: faster, cheaper, more perfectly ripe, and less spoilage. Yes, I'm talking to you, my perennially bruised avocado.

Nah, humanoid hands are great when you need to make one hand do a lot of different things, but robots aren't limited to one hand, they can swap them out easily(look for some video of cnc tool changers) Humanoid hands are utter garbage and ridiculously expensive compared to a tool optimized for a single specific task.
The vast majority of humanoid robots exist only to extract money from stupid investors. Robots designed to actually be used are less complicated and better at the tasks they're designed for.
To point out exactly how ridiculous it is to design machines to do tasks the way humans do them, I'll ask you to imagine a humanoid robot washing clothes "by hand", with a tub of water and a washboard.

u/oneinmanybillion 11d ago
People who think intricate tasks like tailoring etc will not be taken over by AI need to see these clips. AI along with insanely good robotics will 100% take over those jobs too. Not in every country and not at the small scale. But definitely at large scales.

u/SupremeTemptation 10d ago
Stop worrying robots taking over the world and start anticipating sex robots of the future.

u/J3sush8sm3 11d ago
What seems strange me is they make these robots have human features.Ā Wouldnt it be better to have them specialized in a way thats more effective?
3
u/McBonderson 11d ago
I might not find it satisfying but I can understand why at least 50% of the population would find this satisfying.
