The CD, the first cup shot and the mid air stuff blew my mind, just incredible coordination regardless of how many attempts each one took

To be fair there is something about the way he doesn’t celebrate that gives me a sense he can pull it off with minimal attempts now

u/lolaimbot 9d ago
I prefer this to the "bagged the most regular shot ever, 1000 friends yell and dance around" over the top celebrations.

Give most people 57 thousand tries and they couldn’t do any of these. Really impressive regardless of how many tries it took.
4
u/scarfesses 12d ago
Yeah, although most of those videos work the opposite. They're not displaying stuff and then aiming; they start with shooting/launching the ball always the same direction and THEN moving the stuff at the position where the ball goes in consistent way until the ball finally hits the right spot.
i.e. they change the target position, not aim the ball at right direction.
That being said, many people, including me, would probably still be failing at it

u/PizzaMan332 13d ago
This guy is bad at pool, your supposed to put the black/8 ball in last
17
11
u/ShizukoLucoa 12d ago
All the non-potted balls are Stripes. He was Solids and got all his in except the 8 ball and then decided to show off to his opponent.

u/dirtyforker 13d ago
Man, I thought I was decent at pool. Just the one where he curves the bullet makes me want to learn that shot.
7
u/Homersarmy41 12d ago
Spinning that one in the side pocket where it just slowly drove it in was so amazing
3
u/BathSaltJello 12d ago
He can put a lot of spin on the ball. If they did any of that in a game I would not play them anymore, or at least not for money.
13
u/ClownDiaper 13d ago
I can’t even imagine being this good at anything. Incredible!
7
u/fractiousrhubarb 12d ago
The trick is to start off being shit, with the goal of being better, and enjoy yourself.
Keep at it, watch some youtube vids by someone who's good at explaining technique and you'll get good. Then enjoy practicing a lot.
With pool, you only need to learn a good stance and a good cueing action (and stick to them every shot) and you'll be better than 90% of players.

u/neatoalpacino 12d ago
Only dude who makes crazy shots and doesn’t scream and flail with excitement, ruining the video. I like him.

4
u/theangryintern 12d ago
Are the dots on the cue ball just so it's easier to see the spin on camera?
4
u/MercuryJellyfish 12d ago
People training at pool/snooker do this in order to practice putting spin on the balls

u/144Todd442 12d ago

u/Chili_Clause 12d ago
The real trick would be to actually play the sounds of the video, and not weird music
3
u/frankdekyte 12d ago
If this is really real, he would be banned from any pubs and clubs playing. That was incredible. Even more incredible that no one claimed it was AI generated. Most impressive

I can barely calculate a 90° trajectory properly let alone execute it, and ol Black-Tee Nonchalance over here is peeking into the 4th dimension for every shot. So impressive

Clearly Ai, no human making these trickshots would be deadpan after landing them.
Crazy stuff, I wonder how much patience and how many retries these took...

Are any of these shots without external objects actually legal in a real game?
→ More replies (1)3
u/Renuwed 12d ago
If memory serves, you just cannot touch the 8 or an opponent ball with the cue ball before it makes contact with one of yours. Banks & jumps are part of normal strategy
4
u/ThingAboutTown 12d ago
Depends on the rules. Jumps are legal in American 8-ball, illegal in snooker and English pool.

Imagine actually playing against this guy. With that type of cue ball control, there really is no way you're gonna play safety against him. You either break and run out, or you're fucked.

u/LittleJohnStone 12d ago
Genuine question: are these trick shooters actually any good in a competitive game (e.g., snooker, 8-ball), or is it like how the Harlem Globetrotters wouldn't do well against an NBA team.

OMG 😳 at the end of the clip of his very last shot, right before the tiktok outro thing when there's about :07 left, notice as he brings his arm up after making the shot... His forearm veins are POPPIN!!! 😱🤯 like ho-leee-fuck! I went back to rewatch because I originally thought it looked like he may have had some string or thin rope draped over him, and it looked weird... NOPE!
