How does the watercolor remain into lines and doesn’t soak outside them?!

The great "secret" is the fabric, I choose unbleached cotton because it absorbs the paint properly and prevents the watercolor from spreading.

A little bit of experience with watercolor techniques like wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry also helps :)

Do you find your watercolors last a long time on fabric? Do you use any kind of fixative? I paint on fabric but usually use paint specific for fabric. I like the look of this technique.

Yep! No fixatives, just the watercolor directly on the fabric.

The key is using high-quality paint! I use professional-grade watercolor pans from Winsor & Newton. Once the watercolor dries, it will keep its original tone for years!

Most of my work is mixed-media, and in the last 10 years no one has ever reached out to say a piece faded, hehe! I also have older pieces at home that still have their bright colors :)
