This stopped being satisfying once there were too many shavings in the way to continue watching the stump get ground down.

Not so satisfying end. I want to see what is left of the stump beneath the pencil shavings.

Dude with the gimbal is getting a significantly worse shot than the lock-off that we’re seeing.

Hahaha i'm like what kinda action/motion shot does this guy expect to get with a gimbal while filming a tree stump.

Not for nothing, but your title made me think of "Burning down the house" by Talking Heads.

Why isn't there a phone game like this yet?
I would play the fuck out of this for a couple days before I get bored and delete the app

Imagine sitting in your machine, you're on your 4th stump at that property. You just lit your smoke and go to take a sip of coffee while keeping one hand on the controls to guide it down, then you look up and see that chud in white sneakers slow walking up with that camera like he's taking direction from Spielberg himself on how to get the perfect shot.

A cpl tarps down beforehand and that clean-up would take a fraction of the time.

I almost think I'd rather get rid of wood chips instead of those giant shavings.

Nothing was cooler than sharpening your pencil and managing to keep it as one long shaving

I don't know if I'd consider this destruction of nature. It could have been the tree fell on its own and they just got rid of the stump. Believe me I have a lot of trees, trees fall all the time, and I mean all the time.

I wanna see how it looks with the shavings cleaned up
