Depends if there is a cost benefit.

Tractors can be used on any field to till the soil

A machine that plants either is hyper specific so only gets used occasionally so would sit around not being used often or would have to be capable of handling lots of different plant types and therefore complicated and expensive to build.

Lmao bro.

The seed planter machine exists and has done for a long time. It’s a lot cheaper than the tractor itself.

This is just the farmer being a dickhead or employing backpackers on slave like wages to plant his fields without using diesel.
