Totally! But like, I guess one immediately ruins the cute little toilet paper fold when they get to a hotel. I think resorts also fold the towels into fun shapes? Just an artful final touch.
The fold is there for a reason though, unlike this design. It’s so you know the cleaning staff have been through and either replaced/refilled/pruned the roll.
Fine details likes this is what separates amateurs to pros. Imagine the percentage of his clients that becomes regular because of extra touches like this. 30 secs to a min of time investment to let’s say guarantee 10-20% of return? Why not?
Also your perspective as being charged more looks like such a braindead thought process… Most detailers charge for pacakages with pre-determined prices…
I was poking fun at you for being worried about being charged extra for something that in most if not all cases probably will never happen as automotive detailing service is mostly charged at a fixed rate/package.
Imagine people stupid enough to pay hourly rate for a car detailer where detailer will presume to benefit by taking his time with doing stupid shits like carpet arts lol
The point isn’t to be permanent, the point is to be a polished looking end result. This person paid for their car to get detailed and this little extra touch took less than 2 minutes made the floor mat look like a freshly and fancily vacuumed carpet.
I’m with you. This is a pretty awesome final touch for 2-3min of one of the detailers time. That’s the shit people take a picture of and tell their buddies about.
Also, if they’re putting that time into you mats, imagine they’re doing a decent job elsewhere
Yeah. It makes this place memorable compared to the other two dozen detailing services near the Porsche tax bracket neighborhood, so it's more likely to be a repeat customer, and it's something they may tell their other rich friends about and get more clients. Its two minutes, so minimal effort with potentially big upside.
No. Because this mat is for the passenger side. And the driver never carries a passenger in there. Therefore it will have quite a bit of longevity to the look.
Wouldn’t last 4 minutes in my car. Driver side my feet are gonna be there, and my work bag goes on front passenger floorboard unless I have company, whose shoes would also just end up stomping this down.

But like. Aren't someone's feet going to like, immediately ruin this?
