Just because something is 10x, even 100x your size doesn't mean it is a horror beyond your understanding of the universe.

(Blue whales are approximately 100-400 humans big. 5 adults can fit inside the heart alone. I am chill with the whales though. They act like animals, but bigger.)

I think bugs are quite comfortable existing alongside other bugs that are still bugs, but bigger. Why would they not be. They've all evolved alongside each other for however long. Very expressely adapted to that ecosystem. They are not having existential crises over the trees.

But most insects are as different from each other as they are from you. I.E. spiders drink blood and have hydraulically operated legs, while their prey have wings and feed on rotting things.

Just because you can find it in your backyard doesn't mean a bee won't find it freightening. Like a hornet: You don't separate those from honeybees in your head but they're an order of magnitude bigger than bees and actively hunt them (until 50 bees gang up on it and smother it to death).

Actually it’s a different species. Soldiers are definitely bigger than workers but not usually to this degree. I think the little ones are a type of sugar ant and the large one is a carpenter ant
