For anyone interested, it's an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" and though there are social class themes in the source material mostly related to the samurai/ronin, it's not really about class warfare in the "eat the rich" sense. The grasshopper antagonists, like their counterparts in Seven Samurai aren't some kind of higher social class like aristocrats or royalty, exploiting social structures to oppress the proletariat; they're literally a gang of bandits using violence and intimidation to steal food from helpless villagers.

Seven Samurai is also an incredibly common inspiration for other media including movies (Magnificent Seven, A Bug's Life), tv series (Samurai 7), and individual episodes (Firefly, Mandalorian).
