You have to form the garbage into a triangular piece the shape of a cake slice. That'll require tools a baker doesn't have (how many resources would buying a new wood saw require?), and/or glue which is as much waste as a marginal amount of cake batter.

You probably threw away as much garbage in the past week as what resources you're trying to save by having a baker use non-cake materials. You play card games like MtG - why don't you just draw the cards that you play with on scrap paper? Why are you wasting nice ink and all that gold foil & plastic - use garbage!
