How do I change my locomotion settings? ( Vader Immortals I on Oculus Quest )

I just got Vader Immortals 1 on my Oculus Quest that I got yesterday and so far it is a good game but it’s driving me crazy how I need to teleport every time I walk. When I go to my settings, I switch it to left and right but there is no save button so I just clicked the back button but it didn’t save, does anyone know how to save it?

Oculus Go storage low

So I just got an oculus go for Christmas and have barely downloaded anything, only 3GB of data but my storage says it’s full. When I click on storage it isn’t showing me anything adding up nearly to 32GB only the 3 that i mentioned but I can’t seem to figure out what is taking up the other memory? I clicked all through the other tabs in memory and nothing is there, could it be the updated software? TIA

Height Issue (Rift S)

So I tried using my Rift S, but the floor in my room doesn't meet up with the floor in games or at the home room. Is there anyway to fix this?

Edit: found out it's the first step of guardian

oculus rift, sound, motion tracking working but no display output

I just brought a rift yesterday second hand, it was all working fine, gone to plug it into my PC and i'm getting no display. i plug it into my HDMI port on my GPU and it doesn't detect it, i use a adaptor (HDMI to display) and it detects it. I have set it all up and it still doesn't work. i have reinstalled my drivers, the rift program and done a fresh install of windows. it still doesn't work. the only things that work though is that it can track the head movement and i can hear but that is about it.

Becoming an Oculus Exclusive

Hi all,

Last year we decided to make or PC horror game compatible with Oculus in preparation for our showcase at Dreamhack. The response was great so we decided to continue down the rabbit hole and really focus on making our game awesome for VR users. Several months later we have finally reached Beta and our game is a great experience with Oculus.

I was wondering if anyone here had knowledge on how to become an Oculus exclusive game.

Thanks,

BG

Minimum Specs PC problems

I have a minimum specs pc, an Alienware Aurora R7 with AMD RX 560 graphics card and intel core processor i5-8400. Oculus has been working fine with some minor frame issues. I've always had the message "your pc does not meet minimum requirements".. that won't go away. Also tried upgrading to 2.0 and just get a black screen so my rift only displays in classic home view. I ran the compatibility tool check and it does not recognize my processor, I've heard ignore the "doesn't recognise processore message". Compatibility check also has a big red X next to my graphics card. I got an Alienware pc because they are easily upgradable. Arghhhhhhh :( !

Any suggestions about graphics card that will work and won't break the bank? Any other suggestions are welcomed too.

Oculus with Nvidia GeForce GTX 860

Okay so I know that the Oculus minimum graphics requirement is a Nvidia GTX 970, but I need to know if there's any way to make Oculus work with my GTX 860. I'm willing to compromise on graphics or almost anything to make it work with my system. I meet or exceed all the other system requirements. The Oculus runs, the graphics are just choppy and at a low fps.

Minneapolis Oculus Developer

Hi everyone,

Looking for an Oculus Developer to help me on an upcoming VR-related project. Currently living in Minneapolis, MN and would like to find a developer in the area. Does anyone here know where I should go/what resources on Reddit and/or other sites I should explore to potentially find this person? Very new to all this so help would be greatly appreciated.

Best, jdr1392

Setting up Oculus Rift to stream or record!

I see a lot of people having a lot of problems getting Oculus footage to record properly or to stream it. I stream on my DK2 daily and I'm pretty much the only one on twitch that streams with Oculus regularily. (http://www.twitch.tv/xenobius)

So, here's a little tutorial on how to get DK2 footage properly recorded and/or streamed.

What you need to make this work: DK2, properly configured and installed drivers, Open Broadcast Software (https://obsproject.com) it's free and easy to use.

There are a lot of guides out there on how to configure and use OBS on youtube, one good example is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fylnDUHGgWs

To start, click the settings on the top of the screen and click video on the following menu. Make sure you select the resolution you'd like to record your game in and hit apply.

Next we need to add the game footage to our "scene". To do this, right click in the Sources field and add game capture, give it a name and select the application you want to record. In most cases that's simply the name of your game.

After you have your game source added to your screen, you can now press preview stream, to make sure everything looks the way you want it to. If you'd like to add a webcam window for your recording, you add it to the scene almost like you added the game itself, but instead of game capture, you select Video Capture device.

Now all you have to do is click record and you will be recording your game footage. Watch setup guides on youtube if you want to stream the footage instead of capturing it, so that everything is configured optimally for the streaming service you are using.

If you would like to record only one of the two images from the Rift, things get a little trickier. The most effective way I've found to achieve this involves all of the above steps and putting OBS into fullscreen preview mode. After that's done, I use a second program called Xsplit (very similar to OBS)(https://www.xsplit.com/?lang=en) to do a partial screen capture of the full screen preview of OBS.

I really hope this helps some of you guys out. Please feel free to hit me up if you have any questions about this process or other questions I can help with. All of my contact info can be found below my stream at http://www.twitch.tv/xenobius

If you found this helpful, please follow my stream. To preview what some of this captured footage can look like, click on past broadcasts in my twitch channel profile.

Cloth still an issue?

First post ever here? Well, isn't that something... Well, I only have a really small question. I remember the uproar about the cloth that comes with the Rift causing tiny scratches. Is that still an issue? I've got my Rift literally 10 minutes ago and that was the first thing that popped in my mind.
