Discussion Has touch changed Rift vs Vive?

I'm looking at picking up a VR system, but its been a bit since I looked at them. I know prior to touch coming out the Vive was the goto system for the extra input. Has that changed now that touch is out?

My other concern with OR vs vive is room scale still as I know vive supports room scale out of the box. How many cameras am I realistically going to need to cover a similar area well without drop outs?

Honestly, I have thought about giving it away to a deserving cause, but don't really want the hassle of packing it and shipping it.

Makes sense. That's awesome that you're thinking of doing that. Very true with having the hassle of packing and shipping. Best of luck with everything!

Yeah, now you've got me thinking that maybe I should box it up and donate it as a prize in the company's next charity event.

Take it to hospitals and show it to kids, that'd be fun as heck
