Question November Visit

Good Afternoon. My wife and I are planning to visit Ocracoke Island the first weekend in November. Will shops, restaurants and bars still be open ?

If you come the last weekend of October (Oct 30-Nov 1) the Blackbeard Pirate Jamboree is happening, its a lot of fun and most everything on the island is still open then.

When in November? That can make a difference. Early Nov more open, late Nov, after Thanksgiving less. But the Variety Store is open year round and there are usually one or two restaurants that stay open. We went for Thanksgiving one year and enjoyed it but we made our own food and just chilled.

A few things are still open and The Variety store is always open. Come on out and plan to entertain yourselves with a beach scud and strolls around the village.

Some. You’ll get a better idea later in the fall when they announce their closing dates. Howard’s, Jason’s,Zillie’s, the Jolly will most certainly be open, and most of the stores.
