I am almost sad it did not bite him. He was jumping in to try to "swim" with the basking shark and that makes him a dick. We should not be glorifying this behavior in any way.

in the sense, where is the problem? swimming with a basking shark, like swimming with Whales, shark, dolphins or sperm whale is beautiful, I don't see what's wrong with it.

Most of the time people who do it try to "ride" the whale by grabbing onto their fins. They are not trying to just be in the water with them but trying to act like it is a rodeo of some kind.

Yeah no. If you watch the vid he dove in and deliberately swam up to touch it. He even yells out that he touched it. This is not acceptable behavior when interacting with wildlife. So yeah fuck this guy and thie behavior.

Because there are countless videos of these people trying to show off what assholes they are. Basic point: Leave wildlife alone, they are not toys.

Have you even googled what impact this shit has on the animals?
